Well I am out of school for the summer!! I can not believe that I have finished two years of college. I am hoping that the next three will go as fast. I am so thankful for all the support I have. College is a challenge for me and I could not do it without the love and support of my family! I have a GPA of 3.61 but I hope to raise it this next year because I am hoping to be able to stop working at ALCO and focus more on school.

Halloween

This year Angie and I made popcorn balls and sugar cookies! It was allot of work but we had fun, Angie needed treats for school and I took popcorn balls to work, and they sure were a hit!!

Angie using the decorating bag, I think I need a new one after the black frosting,Haha it turned a permanent pink.

See the black ghost, Angie said they were called Obama.

MMMMM marshmallow popcorn balls they have become the Scherer Halloween tradition!

Blast from the past!

Since I did not get to see my kids this Halloween I dug out the old pictures, I had made a couple of pages for my scrap book and thought I would share! This is my family, sisters, brother, nieces and nephews, parents, In laws and of course Mark,Angie, Justin and me over the years!

When the kids were little, they would sit on the table. I would set the Video camera up so it would get everyone and the family would carve pumpkins. When the kids got older the pumpkins were a lot more creative, One year Mark and I carved like 10 pumpkins all with a different face and the kids took them to school. I cherish my Videos so much!! Ahhh the good old days.

One of my favorite costumes for the kids is when Angie was a scarecrow and Justin an old man.
The picture of the vampire that is doubled is my brother Steve,Wow I sure have made him up on Halloween a few times but the double picture is my favorite because it looks so spooky. However Raquel was the spookiest when she had red eyes and I made her into Mrs. Dracula!

All packed and ready for College!

It took a while but Justin finally packed his stuff, of course he waited until the last minute, I like to think it was because he did not want to move out. I think the truth is more that Justin did not have a clue what to pack so after Angie help me by making him a list and I gave him a dead line he finally got it together.

This is a picture of the living room and kitchen in Justin's new apartment, notice the candle on the kitchen table and the scentsy warmer on the end table. Justin had to get them going so everything would smell good before he woud unpack, my boy does like everything to smell good, The boys have one in every room now, I guess Justin is passing on his likes to the other boys!

This Justin's room, A little small but not bad!

Justin's new TV fit in the window so he could still fit his laptop and printer on the desk.

Justin had me hang his stuff on the wall before I left, So he is all moved in and ready for school. On my way back home Justin called to tell me the landlady told him he was in the wrong apartment, the wrong room and that he would have to move, she took his key and was very mean to him, When I called they where closed Justin's room mates talked her into letting him stay in the apartment but she said he would have to move to the room down the hall, UGH!! The next day I called and explained about the signed contract and that mistakes happen however until we could clear thing s up Justin would need his key and could she please call the boy who was to move into the room and see if he would change, it finally worked out OK but how frustrating !!!!

This is Loyd, one of Justin's new roommates. When we showed up, Loyd and Nick were already moved in and they really helped allot!! Justin is on the 3rd floor and This old lady would of crashed if I had to carry everything up the stairs, Whew! The bed was a killer, it took all 4 of us but we did it! he is all moved in.

This is the Movie room that the kids can use

This is the Pool that is for all the kids

This is the game room.
Well this is the end of my BLOG, Justin has such adventures ahead of him I just hope they are all good, Life is changing for Mark and I with the house empty, so far I'm holding up OK but I'm sure I will have my moments.

A day off with my husband!

Mark and I do not get to spend much time together these days, When he is off I have to work or I'm off and he is at work. Last Tuesday however we both had the day off, WhooHoo! We started with hey lets sleep in, hey that did not work out so well, we have to get up so early normally that by 7:00am (that is at least 2 hours more sleep that normal) we were up. Mark and I decided to go for a ride since it has been so long since I have had the chance to ride. It was nice to see the grass so tall but it is getting dry so I hope we have no fires! The grasshoppers are also getting really bad. Mark and I rode for a couple hours and then headed back, Mark had told Ray(his dad) that if he was up to it when we got back he would find a way to let him ride, Ray was so excited! When we got back Mark got a two step ladder out I held the horse and Mark tried out a few ways to get his dad up and when he figured it out, up Ray went!! He was thrilled, Mark walked along the side of the horse and up and down the driveway they went. After a few times Ray smiled and told Mark just one more time, OK? Mark told him we had all day. I remember all the years of riding with Ray, to move cows, sort cows or just to check on cows it broke my heart to see Ray needed to have his son walk along side him and it made me smile to see him on a horse again, it sucks when parents get old! Mark and I are going to keep trying to make time to get his dad back in the saddle, I think it will help Ray so much! After the ride we ate lunch with Ray & Betty, (that is something we have not got to do for a long time!)

Then Mark and I got cleaned up and went to Angie's for BBQ Burgers and off to the Movie's we went. We went to the new Harry Potter movie, I think it was the best one yet! all in all what a nice day off!
hmmm not sure how to get the pictures where I want them but hey I BLOGGED!

Let's Try a Dodge Shall We...

Well, over the fourth we had a rodeo down in Lewiston, UT. Mark had to take a couple of our horses down to pick-up with and the Old Ford just about didn't make it. The mechanic said that it would cost a lot to get it fixed, and he would buy it for actually a good deal for both parties. Mark found this truck in Poky and the deal was just right. He's a Ford man through and through, so this is the first Dodge on the place. So far we all like it...

SPRING!!

Spring is here, I'm am so glad. I love it when my flowers come back. Today I worked in my flower beds, it was so exciting to see some flowers already in bloom. I love gardening, spring time is the best because my allergies are not here yet and so I do not have to worry about an attack. I even planted pansies in the pots on the steps. If all goes right I hope to put in a veggie garden this year. It has been years since I have had one and I miss it.

My Bug

Angela Dawn Scherer AKA Bug
When Mark and I decided to have kids I always dreamed of one boy and one girl, My wish was granted just not in the order I thought. When I found out we were going to have a baby, I was like all mothers, I just wanted a healthy baby, then when I was 8 months pregnant having surgery to put pins and a plate in a broken leg/ankle and a week later having gallbladder surgery I just wanted my baby to live! Then on June 15,1988 WOW I had a live, healthy baby girl who would change my life forever!!!
Angela (Angie) was not a real happy newborn, I guess she had a right to be pissy for awhile after all she went through but at about 2 months old she started to get over it, I would say that had to be the longest mad Angie has ever held onto.
Angie has had allot of nick names: Her cousin Michael called her Angie Frog when she was born because when she cried at first it sounded like a frog. Mark called his pup because she made noises like a puppy. My dad called her Angie Lou, and I called her bug a Lou then just bug, some friends have called her little red and I think some still do.
Angie has always been a go getter, I had a friend Susan who wanted to have Angie come visit (she did not have kids) I had a baby shower for a friend and decided Susan could have Angie for a few hours, I don't think Susan has recovered yet and that was over 20 years ago! Susan said Angie was everywhere, she asked me how I ever got anything done and that she needed to take vitamins before she could keep up with my little Angie again, and Angie was only 6 months old.
The world was Angie's and she wanted to experience it all!!

Angie is a people person, When she was 2 and 3 years old I would to the grocery store and people I did not know knew Angie by name. I know it sounds strange but there were a few people Angie did not like, She had a baby sitter for a week when she was 2, I changed babysitters when Angie cried when I dropped her off and she could not wait to get in the car when I picked her up, I know most kids do this but not my Angie she loved to go to people and so when she did not like this babysitter I took her to a new one, Angie never cried when I left her again. Then when Angie was 3 a friend of my sister's and someone Mark knew walked into my sister's house while Angie and I were there, Angie hugged me real tight and said she did not like that man,I'm not sure why but those are the only two people Angie ever said that about until many years later.
If you did not know Angie at 3 years old, boy you really missed out!!! 3year Angie is probably the most memorable age of Angie, picture crazy curly red hair a tiny little voice, a smile that lit up the room and a giggle my mom swears they stole to put in the giggle dolls. Angie was such a happy, smart pistol of a little girl. I know, sounds like a proud mom huh, well you would be right however I am only saying what people still tell me, Angie was a hoot.
Angie also had and still does have a temper. Angie likes things the way Angie likes them and boy watch out if they are not that way. That sounds like she is a spoiled brat,Wrong! Angie's temper is more directed at her self, or more her things, socks had to be just so or she was mad, I could only buy one kind of underwear because the other's, and we tried many others, did not feel just so, Angie's room and bathroom had to be just so or she was mad, and Angie has had a love hate relationship with her hair. At first her hair was not long enough she wanted long hair like cousin Jenny, then she hated her curls, all her friends had straight hair, and Angie did not want red hair. It took years of bad hair days, tears, screaming, pony tails pulled so tight no curl could be seen for my little bug to see just how special her hair is and that it has a life of it's own and will do what it wants.
Angie loves to learn, always has, form trying out her balance on the arm of my rocking chair, to trying to write her name at 2. Angie love to be read to and she would memorize the book and "read" it to her baby brother. (She got it right most of the time) When she was in kindergarten she would make homework for herself because the teacher did not give her any. Angie never settled for average, she always went for the "A". Her freshman year in high school I received a call from the counselor, she asked me to come to the school because Angie was very upset. I rushed to the school and sure enough my baby girl was crying, it broke my heart, I was ready to go find the person responsible for making her cry, they were going to hear it from me let me tell you!! Then I asked what or who had her so upset? The counselor told me Angie had gotten a "C" in Geometry, WHAT! How could this be, Angie a "C" in a class, the counselor explained it was on an assignment not the whole class, I wanted to laugh, I was so relieved that no one had been mean to by baby girl but I could not, she was crushed. That is just how hard Angie drives herself, always has and look at her now!!!!! On the dean's list of school and she got into her program, that not very many get into this young!!! I have never had to ask "do you have homework" or threaten her if her grades weren't good, just the opposite, Mark and I have worried and tried to tell her not to push so hard to have fun more often, She is coming around now but her younger years had me concerned.
Angie is not a tall person but do not make the mistake she can not do what ever she puts her mind to, she is my 5ft wonder!!!!! Angie's talents have no limits, 6 years of dance, 5 years of volleyball, 8 years of basketball, 3 years t-ball, 2 state championships and 1 State runner-up in soccer, 4 years high school rodeo, 1 year Jr. rodeo, 4 years of FFA and going all the way to get her national degree, Jr. Miss Be Your Best Self, Class Valedictorian, Honor's diploma, ISU Dean's list, and going on to be a Radiology Technician, And the best friend you could ever ask for!!
I love you Angie, and I really like the person you are
